  • Full demolition of existing cell area
  • Re-construction of the cell area into a modern custody suite
  • Provision of a new prisoner processing area
  • Creation of new entrances and public waiting lobby
  • Separate and secured staff entrance area & secured prisoner entrance
  • Complete electrical upgrade
  • Installation of new state-of-the-art CCTV system

The station is operational on a full-time basis. Kenaidan Contractors carried out all works while the station was fully functioning. This required careful planning and co-ordination between Kenaidan and the Gardai personnel.
