PROJECT DESCRIPTION

This project for the HSE to convert an existing health centre into a modern living area for HSE residents commenced in July 2018 and was handed over to the client in June 2019.

Works included:

• Partial demolition of an existing HSE health centre, leaving only the front and gable walls standing. These were supported structurally for the duration of the works.
• Excavations within the building footprint for new foundations and services.
• Installation of a Radon barrier and insulation below the new concrete floor slab.
• Construction of a new extension and internal walls.
• External envelope works included new windows & doors, insulation, render and rainscreen cladding.

Internal works included a full new M&E installation including general power, lighting, fire alarm & security system and a new gas boiler heating system. The property now offers full disabled access to all areas both internally and externally to satisfy the individual needs of the intended residents. Kenaidan Contractors Ltd. carried out all internal finishes including timber flooring, fire doors & architraves and the installation of all fitted furniture & kitchen/utility units.
