PROJECT DESCRIPTION
This contract consisted of the construction of an extension and complete renovation to an existing lock house in Tarmonbarry, Co. Roscommon, along the banks of the River Shannon.
Due to the location of this project, being situated close to deep water (exceeding 4m at times), the Kenaidan team developed a rigorous safety plan before commencing works on site.
The existing building was constructed using masonry blocks, faced with brick. This was replaced with a pebble dash façade. Additional features include the use of antiglare glass to the glazed front façade. This was to protect the lock keeper from the sun.
