About This Project

PROJECT DESCRIPTION
This project commenced in August 2017 and was successfully completed and handed over in June 2018.

Works consisted of the construction of a new, single-story extension to the existing nursing home, comprising of:

• 7no. additional en-suite bedrooms
• A new day room for residents
• Oratory
• Sitting room
• 3no. bathrooms
• Office
• 2no. Storage rooms

Works to the existing building included the conversion of a day room into a ‘pampering’ room and visitor room. The existing wastewater treatment plant was relocated – which included the upgrade of the filter to a new 300m2 sand polishing filter to cater for the increased population. Externally, 40no. car parking spaces were created. Further car park works included new access ramps, tactile paving, cane detectors and handrails. New perimeter fencing was erected along with new street lighting.

Kenaidan Contractors worked closely with the client & design team throughout the project, ensuring that all parties were happy with the finished product.
