PROJECT DESCRIPTION
These works commenced in September 2017 and were completed in November 2017.
The works consisted of the construction of random rubble masonry and wet stone (jointed) construction techniques using locally sourced stone were used. In addition to traditional stone parapet walls, standard masonry blockwork walls were also provided as per NRA specifications to carpark areas. As stonework walls were double-sided scaffolding was required on the waterside of the parapet in order to create a safe working space.
Due to the proximity of the works to the road a detailed traffic management system was put in place for the duration of the works.
